El mueble tiene 422 x 280 x 78 cm
Está hecho con madera de nogal, y la marquetería con chapas de madera noble de diferentes tonalidades ( no están coloreadas), son chapas al natural.
Los cajones están mechonados a mano con la técnica de cola de milano.
Detrás de las puertas hay 3 cajones pequeños y un secreter con puerta de buró.
He querido poner como decoración especial a Don Miguel de Cervantes, mi escritor preferido.
En el remate, está tallado el escudo de Valencia, el de la Generalitat Valenciana y el de Turís .
En él se puede leer el nombre de los barrios donde me crié: Grao, Nazaret, Cañamelar, Cabañal y Malvarrosa.
Este ha sido el motivo de ponerle el nombre de "Mis Raices"
El mueble se empezó a construir en 1990 hasta 2016, fecha en que se da por terminado en Turís.
The furniture has dimensions of 4.22m tall x 2.80m wide x .78m deep, It is made of walnut wood, and the marquetry is hard wood veneers of different shades (they are not coloured artifically) all are natural veneers. The drawers are all made by hand with dovetail joints. Behind the doors there are 3 smaller drawers and a secret desk.
I wanted to put Don Miguel de Cervantes, my favorite writer, as a special decoration.
On the upper part of the cabinet is the shield of Valencia and on either side of the shield is carved, the symbol Valencian County, and the Heraldic symbol of Turis (1990)
you can read the name of the neighborhoods where I grew up: Grae, Nazareth, Cañamelar, Cabañal and Malvarrosa. That is the reason for the name of the Cabinnete "My Roots"

Mi nombre es Salvador Selva Sisternas. Nací en los poblados marítimos de Valencia, España.
Muy cerca del mar Mediterráneo.
Toda mi vida he trabajado en el oficio de ebanistería, trabajo en el que fui muy feliz durante 45 años. Heredé el oficio de mi padre, que era carpintero, y me crié entre las virutas de madera que él hacía .
Cuando aún era un niño, ya soñaba con hacer un gran mueble con tallas, marquetería y pan de oro. Mientras eso llegaba, compraba revistas, libros, y estudié dibujo de muebles.
Al llegar a la edad para poder trabajar, inicié mi experiencia en la fábrica de Vicente Medina. Años después en Valentín Arana. Más tarde en Mariner, Monrabal y después en Edith Maria Kauft, entre otros. Sin olvidar a Carpintería Añón, a quien agradezco su apoyo y ayuda prestada para poder finalizar el bargueño.
A este bargueño que aquí presento, le puse el nombre de Mis raíces, para hacerle un homenaje a mis queridos poblados marítimos. Nazaret, Grao, Cañamelar, Cabañal y Malvarrosa, lugares en los que pasé mis mejores años y donde aprendí a vivir y donde vivieron también maestros como Sorolla, Benlliure y Blasco Ibáñez.
En el remate se pude observar el escudo de Valencia junto al de Turís, lugar donde empecé a construir este mueble en 1990 y terminé en 2016.
Mi bargueño fue presentado al pueblo de Turís en el salón de La Font.

My name is Salvador Selva Sisternas, I was born and grew up in the port area of Valencia. Close to the beach and the Mediterranean Sea.
For 45 years I worked as a cabinet maker and I was very happy. My father was a carpenter and I inherited his love of woodworking which began with me, as a child, playing with the shavings in his workshop.
When I was young I dreamed about making a grand cabinet, hand carved, with marquetry and gilded in gold. I bought books and studied many designs and drawings of cabinets. I worked with the following, Vicente Medina, Valentín Arana, Mariner, Monrabal, and Edith Maria Kaught and others, (for a total of 45 years). Without forgetting Carpintería Añón, whom I thank for his support and help given to finish the cabinet.
This cabinet I present is called "Mis Raices" (My Roots) and is a tribute to the cherished areas where I grew up and had the best years of my youth. Nazaret, Grao, Cañamelar, Cabañal, Malvarrosa. In these places Sorolla, Benlliure, Blasco Ibanez also lived and grew up.
On the top you can see the Shield of Valencia and also of Turis. I Started working on this cabinet in 1990 and finished it in 2016.
My cabinet is presented for exhibition in the lounge-dining-room of La Font for the people of Turis
